Darin began his career racing BMX bikes at age of 5 before moving up to kart Racing. He competed in kart races at Go Pro Motorplex, in Mooresville, NC and then the WKA Road Racing Series on iconic tracks like the Daytona Road Course and the Charlotte Roval.
In his early teen years, Darin started competing in the NASA Southeast Spec Iron Series in a SI Mustang. He was a consistent front-runner and won 9 races in 2021. Showing his demonstrated experience at the Daytona Road, Course, Virginia International Raceway, Road Atlanta, Mid Ohio, Sebring, CMP, and Roebling Road. In just his sophomore year running the series, Mock chased down the points while executing a last lap pass to claim the win at Road Atlanta and claim the 2021 Champions title in the NASA Southeast Spec Iron Series. During Darin’s NASA Southeast Spec Iron Series Championship season, Mock also ran three races in the TA2 Trans Am Series driving for Mike Cope Racing.
In 2021 at the age of 19 Darin competed in 3 TA2 Trans Am series races, accomplishing a top 10 finish in his very first outing at Mid-Ohio. 2022 was his first full season with Mike Cope racing resulting in multiple top 10 finishes. Darin is running the full 2023 TA2 Trans Am series for Nitro Motorsports.
Darin brings his experience and his Mock family roots in racing. Darin is the son of Butch Mock, former driver and NASCAR Cup Series owner, in which Neil Bonnett, Todd Bodine, Deck Trickle, Lake Speed, and many others drove for his race team. In his free time, he is an avid guitarist.
