Virginia Trans Am Focus for High Notes and Success with Sheehan and Vixen Cycle

Alton, VIRGINIA – September 30, 2024 – With two races remaining on The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli 2024 Championship calendar, teams and drivers will compete this weekend, October 3 – 6, at Virginia International Raceway. Tom Sheehan and the Vixen Cycle LTK Mustang are currently second place in the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series Pro Am Championship.
It’s been a mixed year of highs and lows for Sheehan who is a driver that likes to focus on the positives. The new partnership with Vixen Cycle this season has brought new energy and a fresh look for the program that has seen four podium finishes and a win at World Wide Technology Raceway.
“The season is winding down, I am grateful for the support from my team," stated Tom Sheehan. The schedule for the week of racing in Virginia includes first practice on October 4 at 11:00AM ET followed by two rounds of qualifying that afternoon at 4:35PM ET. October 5 is race day with a start time of 12:40PM ET for the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series feature with 31 Laps or 75-minutes of road racing excitement.
Fans and guests attending the weekend can participate in the fan walk starting at 12:00PM ET on October 5 just before the race.
Virginia International Raceway is 3.27-miles of asphalt with 17 turns. The beautiful rolling green landscape and iconic corners provide and excellent setting for a fall Trans Am race. Watch live on both MAVTV or The Trans Am Series YouTube channel starting October 5 at 12:40PM ET.
The highlight show for the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series race from Virginia International Raceway will air on MAVTV on October 10 at 8:00PM ET.
