Tommy Archer returns for 2015 Trans Am Season

Veteran driver ready to put on a show at Foametix 100
Duluth, MN. (February 24, 2015) – Tommy Archer will rejoin the Trans Am Series for The Foametix Trans Am 100 at Sebring International Raceway on March 1, 2015 for the start of a limited schedule for 2015. A proven competitor throughout professional racing, Archer is set to return to what he does best—driving a race car. After doing car set-up and driver coaching the past few years Archer will return to the seat and compete in the TA2 class in the Trans Am Series for the majority of the 2015 Trans Am Championship.
Archer’s short absence from the circuit is due to only to the fact that one week after the Sebring event Tommy will head back to the Mayo Clinic for what he hopes is his last surgery for Cancer Treatment. After the surgery Archer expects to undergo a few weeks of recovery before returning to competition.
The car will be prepared by Tommy’s youngest brother John’s “Archer Racing” race shop, a TA2 Camaro that belongs to Nate Stokey out of Dover, Ohio who thought it was best to put Tommy in the car to garner as much marketing publicity for the team as possible. Tommy has worked with everyone involved for years and there’s excitement in the air for a great competitive weekend in the Quad Systems - c3controls Chevrolet Camaro #49.

Tommy’s resume is long and studded with victories and championships throughout. Having won in almost everything he has driven there always excitement when he is behind the wheel—including winning the coveted Trans Am “The Detroit Grand Prix”. Most recently Tommy finished second at Lime Rock Motorsports Park last September in TA2 subbing for Tommy Kendall in the Dodge.
