Ruman Takes 4th at Mid-Ohio Permco Grand Prix Trans Am Heads to Cheese Capital Cup at Road America

Munroe Falls, Ohio – It is a quick turnaround for the Trans Am teams as they left Ohio and are heading North to Road America, WI, this weekend for the Cheese Capital Cup. The Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli is now halfway through the 2025 SpeedTour season after completing Round 6 at Ruman’s home track, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, this past weekend.
Ruman qualified the No. 23 McNichols Co./Valley Automotive Group Chevrolet Corvette seventh on the grid ultimately making her way through the field finishing in fourth place. Lap one, turn one proved to be chaotic with Ruman finding her way past spinning cars while suffering minor front and rear damage to the No. 23. After losing some positions in the melee, she worked her way back up. With two laps to go, Ruman closed in and used lapped traffic to pass Drissi for fourth place.

The Series returns to one of the nation’s most notorious road courses and one of the fastest tracks on the schedule. Road America is a legendary circuit constructed of 14-turns, a 4.048 mile track, the longest on the schedule. In 2024, Ruman finished on the TA podium in third place. “I’m looking forward to this weekend, Road America is so fast, and it is such a great track to showcase our horsepower. Should be another fantastic race,” remarked Ruman.
Forty-six competitors are entered across all classes, with eight running in Ruman’s TA class. Testing, practices, and qualifying will take place Thursday through Sunday. The Trans Am TA/XGT/SGT/GT feature race will be Saturday, June 28th at 12:35pm CT, with a fan walk on pit lane beginning at 11:50pm CT. The CUBE 3 Architecture TA2® Series race is Sunday at 1:05pm CT. Both races are 101.2 mi, 25-laps. After Round 6, Paul Menard leads the TA National class championship with 598 points, followed by Adam Andretti in second – 552, Tomy Drissi in third – 525, Amy Ruman is fourth – 521, and Chris Dyson sits in fifth – with 473 points.
