Ruman Hitting Reset Button Heading into Road America This Weekend

TEAM NEWS - Munroe Falls, Ohio – After finishing 10th at Mid-Ohio two weeks ago, Amy Ruman and team are looking to rebound with a big win at Road America this upcoming weekend in The Trans Am 100 featuring TA/3/4 and TA2 in the ETE REMAN Transmissions Muscle Car 100, Presented by Pura Vida Tequila - Round 7 of the Series’ stop in 2016.
No. 23 McNichols Co. Corvette has been prepped and is ready to race at the legendary 14-turn 4.048 mile track, a circuit Ruman has yet to win at in her Trans Am career. “I need to be vigilant this weekend and stay out of trouble. I need to use this weekend to really capitalize on gaining some points heading into the second half of the season – it’s time to hit the reset button and get back having consistent finishes and to winning!” exclaimed Ruman.
Trans Am returns to Wisconsin for its 36th appearance at one of the nation’s most famed road courses and one of the fastest tracks on the schedule, in conjunction with NASCAR Xfinity Series weekend. Ruman will be up against 17 other competitors in her TA class, with all class entries totaling 54. Heading into Road America, Ruman still maintains the TA class points lead with 155. Pintaric is second with 134, followed by Ebben with 129 in third.
The weekend will start off with a promoter test day Thursday August 25th. Two official TA practices and “Fast Five” qualifying will take place on Friday August 26th. Saturday will feature two Trans Am races – the Trans Am 100 - TA/3/4 at 8:50am followed by the TA2 ETE REMAN Transmissions Muscle Car 100, Presented by Pura Vida Tequila at 10:20 am, both at 101.96-miles 45-laps – all times listed are Central Time. The Trans Am 100 race at Road America will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network, airing on Saturday, September 18 at 4:00 p.m. ET, followed by the TA2 race Saturday September 24 at 10:00a.m. ET.
