Rafa Matos Earns CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series Pole Award at NOLA Motorsports Park

Nitro Motorsports and Silver Hare Racing Sweep Top Six Starting Spots

AVONDALE, La. (April 13, 2024) – Practice and qualifying have concluded for the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli’s CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series race at the NOLA SpeedTour at NOLA Motorsports Park. Rafa Matos in the No. 60 Concord American Flagpole/Nitro Motorsports Ford Mustang earned the Pole Award with a lap time of 1:39.658. Nitro Motorsports and Silver Hare Racing swept the front of the field, occupying the top six starting spots. The session was exceptionally competitive, with the top-10 starters qualifying within less than a second of each other.

“It has been a smooth weekend,” said Matos. “I think we've had a lot of speed since the first test. We managed to be quickest in the first session, then we made some overnight changes. They didn't really work this morning, so we went back to the original setup, and the car is back to where it was yesterday. I'm really happy with the Nitro Motorsports team. Hats off to Concord American Flagpole Company for leading this project and making sure that we have everything we need to compete at the highest level. I'm really happy with the team right now, and hopefully we'll get the job done.”
