Racers Edge Expands Operations into Trans Am

(Team Release) Racers Edge Motorsports is pleased to announce the teams’ expansion into the storied Trans Am Series for the 2015 racing season. This is in addition to the multi-car Factory Ford Racing backed Mustang 302R program that will continue in the IMSA sanctioned Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Series, where the team finished in the Top-10 in the Team Championship standings in the recently completed 2014 racing season.

The team will look to compete in both the growing TA2 class with at least one new Ford Mustang, and the TA3-American Muscle class with its existing Ford Mustang 302.R’s. The team is currently seeking drivers interested for both the Trans Am and Continental Tire Challenge Series’ seasons.

Discussing the expansion, team owner Jon Mirachi states; “We see the Trans Am Series growing and providing an excellent opportunity for Racers Edge Motorsports to add a sprint racing program to our already well-established and successful endurance racing programs. It also enables us to expand our relationship with Ford Racing, since the Ford Mustang is a major player in the Trans Am series.”
