Paul Fix looks to Watkins Glen with home track advantage

Williamsville, NY- (May 10, 2016) Paul Fix and the #50 Stopflex/ClassicTube/CarCoach Tony Ave Racing Corvette will unload at Watkins Glen International Raceway this week for the Classic Tube 100. Fix is seeking to place himself atop the podium at what is his home track. With two races concluded on the 2016 schedule, Fix and team are ready to move upward in the points standings.
“I believe we have the opportunity this weekend to shake things up a bit and end up on the top step,” said Fix.
A new racing surface has been applied to the Watkins Glen track. However for Fix, with more laps at the facility than any other Trans Am competitor, it will be business as usual.
“I am looking forward to running laps on the new surface and utilizing the new curbing,” said Fix. “The driver requirements remain the same…be fast, be smooth, be at the front. The team and I are ready.”
The Tony Ave Racing crew have been hard at work preparing the #50 machine. Both driver and crew are ready to take that big step into the championship points battle.
Trans Am will take to the track at Saturday, May 14th at 9:00AM ET for Practice One. Later at 2:05PM ET, One Shot Qualifying. Sunday’s green flag action begins at 3:40PM ET, for 30 laps of racing.
