Paul Fix looks for third in a row at Lime Rock

Williamsville, NY (May 19, 2015)- This week’s stop on the 2015 Trans Am Series championship trail will bring Paul Fix and the #4 Stopflex.com/CarCoach/RoyalPurple/Well-Worth Chevrolet Corvette to the Road Racing Center of the East, Lime Rock Park. Fix has dominated the Trans Am Series’ last two visits to the circuit, winning the 2013 and 2014 events in captivating style. Fix anticipates the same result come Saturday afternoon when the checkered flag waves on 67 laps of racing.

“We’re currently placed second in points going into Lime Rock this weekend, “said Fix. “I fully expect to seize the chance to three peat in wins and continue our reign of the track. We’ll use the rest of the season to advance into first place in the year end standings.”

While the Lime Rock Park track layout is one of the shortest courses the series will compete on, it still presents sufficient challenges to master. “Lime Rock is a technically challenging track, regardless of its rather short 1.5 mile length,” offered Fix. “The dynamics of the turns and the compound issues with the uphill and down hill sectors make the track like no other course.”

With laps times under one minute in duration, maintaining such a pace during competition is a required task. Fix has proven to be a master of the feat.

Said Fix, “There are a lot of people who can go quick around here, but going fast is another issue all together.”

Paul Fix and the Tony Ave Racing team have prepared the car for this week’s ‘short track’ racing. Past experience and success will prove a tough combination to beat. Fix and the rest of the competitors will practice on Friday at 11:05AM and 4:40PM. Qualifying for the Fast Five will take place at 1:24PM. Live timing and scoring is available on gotransam.com and via the smart phone app.

The Next Dimension 100 will go green flag at3:15 p.m. ET on Saturday, May 23 for 75-minutes or 67 laps of action. Fans can watch the Lime Rock Park race on the CBS Sports Network on Saturday, June 6 at 12:00 p.m. ET and Saturday, June 13 at 12:00 p.m. ET.
