Sebring (FL), February 27, 2020 – PF Racing started its 2020 campaign on a high note with an 11th place finish during the 4-hour endurance in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge at Daytona earlier in January.
Fresh off a successful two-race event at the Thermal Club, for the last round of the SRO Winter Invitational series, PF Racing is now heading to Sebring International Raceway for the first race of the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli, which is headlining the SVRA Sebring Vintage Classic.
James Pesek will be driving the #41 Ford Mustang GT4 in the SGT class for a 70-minute race taking place on Sunday. “I’m excited to be back in the Trans Am series,” says Pesek. “It’s been a while since PF Racing has been here, and it’s good to see some old friends in the paddocks.”
“I’m also thrilled to be at Sebring; it’s a fun and technical track. Being back in Trans Am also means I’m back to my roots. Trans Am was the first professional series I participated in back in 2017.”
About PF Racing
PF Racing is a family-owned racing team, operating from Harrisonville, Missouri. PF, which stands for Pesek Family, is managed by JR Pesek and his son James, who is also a full-time driver in the highly competitive IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. Since its beginnings in 2016, the team has evolved into a premier Ford Performance customer racing team. The team’s expertise when it comes to Ford Mustangs can only be showcased through PF Racing’s excellency both on and off the track.
PF Racing campaigned a Ford Mustang in the Trans-Am series in 2016 with JR Pesek who claimed third place in the TA4 class. While racing in Trans-Am, JR also clinched third place in the World Challenge SprintX GTS Pro/Am championship. James Pesek has now taken over racing. He started his career in NASA in 2016 and climbed up the ladder to compete in World Challenge in 2017. The Harrisonville native then moved to a full-time campaign in World Challenge SprintX in 2018 where he finished third in the Championship. He also entered a few IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge races that season, gaining a lot of track time at several prestigious venues around the USA.
PF Racing moved to a full-time IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge campaign in 2019, fielding the #40 Ford Mustang GT4, while still racing part-time in the World Challenge GT4 America championship.
Since its debut in 2016, PF Racing has welcomed many talented drivers; most notably Jade Buford, who raced in World Challenge and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. He participated in the 24 Hours of Daytona multiple times and set several track records around the United States.
As one of the upmost Ford Performance customer racing team in the country, PF Racing’s notoriety can only be asserted by their on-track success in recent years.
