PAUL FIX EYES REDEMPTION AT HOMESTEAD

(TEAM RELEASE) Williamsville, NY (April 7, 2015)- As the 2015 Trans Am Series schedule continues its Florida swing this week heading to Homestead-Miami Speedway, Paul Fix and the #4 ClassicTube/Stopflex/CarCoach/Royal Purple/Well-Worth Products Chevrolet Corvette will carry along the momentum gained with a solid third place result at the previous event in Sebring. Fix who ran with the leaders was hampered by a mechanical issue that netted a podium finish. Now, the team looks to better that with a step up to the winner’s spot.

“I am looking forward to a return to Homestead and bettering ourselves,” said Fix. “I have every confidence the guys at Tony Ave Racing will have a game plan so we are out front when it matters come Sunday afternoon.”

The trip to Homestead this time around will see a slightly different track configuration. “Last year for this race we utilized both portions of the road course. Now we are running through NASCAR turns three and four,” said Fix.

The Homestead event will provide Fix and the TA class entrants the opportunity to compete sans the TA2 category of cars. The schedule will allow the TA cars to showcase the spirited high speed competition that has come to define the class in a separate race.

Said Fix, “Homestead will be one of a handful of events whereby our class races with a little less traffic on track. That should allow for more passing and inter class racing.”

Fix knows that while this weekend is only the second race of a twelve event schedule, points towards the championship are a priority as the season can slip by quickly. Currently placed third in the championship standings, Fix will optimize every event to achieve the maximum results.

“Not to sound too cliché, but we’re in it to win it,” offered Fix. “Every race result has to be held accountable towards the net gain of a championship trophy. I am looking towards moving forward on the season and obtaining that goal.”

Fix and the rest of the TA competitors will kick off the Homestead-Miami weekend with practice on Friday at 10:05AM ET followed by qualifying at 3:30PM ET. Practice session two will be held Saturday morning at 10:00AM ET and the 45 lap TA class race will take the green flag Sunday at 2:45PM ET.
