Loshak Racing ready for rebound at Lime Rock Park
May 21, 2015

Lime Rock Park, CT - May 21, 2015
Trans Am TA2 rookie, Lawrence Loshak, and his 7-time SCCA National Championship-winning team, Loshak Racing, started the 2015 season strong, with a podium at Sebring and a top-10 at Homestead. 3rd in points heading into Round 3 at Road Atlanta, Loshak qualified 6th and was running in the lead pack when a battle for position ended with the #5 Raybestos Powertrain Ford Mustang off the track, broken. The DNF (34th place) earned Loshak Racing zero points, and has the team hungry for redemption this weekend at historic Lime Rock Park.
“A challenge is what we wanted, and we found it in the Trans Am TA2 series,” said Loshak. “I’m not happy with my last two finishes, but I’m trying to focus on the races ahead. We’ve been really excited to show our pace since testing, I think Lime Rock is a perfect weekend to let it all hang out. The strategy is real simple this weekend: win our first race.”
Off-track, Loshak Racing has been working closely with primary sponsor-partner Raybestos Powertrain to lead a commercial renaissance in the Trans Am Series to go along with its incredible growth of participants and field sizes. To that end, Raybestos Powertrain has featured the Loshak Racing Trans Am program in tradeshow exhibits and attendee prizes at a variety of events. Raybestos Powertrain’s domestic and international efforts have brought the Trans Am Series to the Automechanika Shows in Istanbul and Dubai, and placed the #5 Raybestos Powertrain Mustang front-and-center at Automechanika Chicago.
“Customers across the country and around the globe are excited about Raybestos Powertrain’s Trans Am Series sponsorship and Loshak Racing’s exciting start to the season,” said Raybestos Powertrain vice president Reinhard Brinkmeier. “We look forward to telling our customers about Lawrence Loshak’s first TA2 win very soon.”
This weekend’s Round 4 of the Trans Am Series Championship will see an expansion of Loshak Racing’s partnership with Raybestos Powertrain, as Raybestos Powertrain’s HT, GPX, GPZ, and TorqKit brands join the program.
“We’re thrilled to have a partner like Raybestos Powertrain, who’s not only genuinely excited about and involved with our racing, but is really working hard and doing a great job of making this program work for them, their employees, suppliers, and customers,” said Lawrence Loshak. “This relationship keeps growing in the right direction, they’re very involved and proactive, we’ll be entertaining a number of employees and guests throughout the season, and are really proud to be able to represent such a great company. Now we just need to win some races for them!”
