Homestead Up Next for FOAMETIX Burtin Racing

Homestead, FL – April 7, 2015 – Burtin Racing and the FOAMETIX No. 7 Corvette C7.R will head to south Florida for the next road course battle this weekend for Round 2 of the Trans Am 2015 season championship.

The racing weekend will feature a 102.15-mile main event on Sunday, April 12 with the race scheduled to go green at 2:45 p.m. ET. Practice and qualifications are set to take place on Friday.

It will be another record breaking event for the Trans Am series with 68 cars entered for the race, a car count higher than seen previously at any other Homestead-Miami round of competition for the series. Top class racing is almost guaranteed as large grids make for spectacular wheel-to-wheel racing.

“The team has been working around the clock since Sebring, making improvements to the car and it has been going very well,” said Claudio Burtin, Team Principal and Driver. “We had access to resources at the Richard Childress Racing facility for the past three days where we had the car up on the seven post shaker. Homestead should be a step in the right direction for us on development to our FOAMETIX Corvette C7.R.”

Burtin Racing entered the first round of the season last month at Sebring and put up a strong finish of seventh overall in the FOAMETIX 100. The team continues to develop the racecar, finding improvements with each step forward in what is shaping up to be an exciting season.
