Former Miami Dolphins First-Round Draft Pick Jared Odrick Joins CB Motorsports in 2024

Odrick to compete in TA2 at Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli
February 13, 2024 – Already announcing an expanded program in 2024, CB Motorsports is pleased to confirm their second driver in the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli. Joining Caleb Bacon in 2024 will be Jared Odrick, a first-round pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2010, as he transitions from a career in the NFL to motorsports and will contest in the complete TA2 calendar this season.
“We are very excited to have Jared as part of our efforts this coming season,” explained Chad Bacon, Owner of CB Motorsports. “We have invested a lot this past offseason to expand our program and take it to the next level. We are committed to the Trans Am Series and look forward to pushing as hard as we can for success.”
With a college football career at Penn State, Odrick entered the NFL with the Miami Dolphins after being the 28th pick in the first round of the 2010 draft. Playing with the team until the end of the 2014 season, Odrick then signed a free agent deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars for two seasons. Outside of football, Odrick has been involved in large studio and independent films and has written several articles for a variety of sports publications. Moving on to success in motorsports, Odrick claimed the 2023 SCCA Runoffs GT2 National Championship at VIRginia International Raceway behind the wheel of a Porsche 991.2 GT3 Cup racecar.
“Being able to win a Championship in my second year of racing was amazing. I’m thankful for all of my mentors and coaching I’ve had and continue to receive. The learning environments I’ve been exposed to have helped me develop so much in such a short time,” explained Jared Odrick. “I look forward to being part of the CB Motorsports family in 2024 and hope that I can continue the success in the talent-filled Trans Am Series.”
CB Motorsports is celebrating more than 40 years of experience through the evolution of programs founded in 1979 by Al Bacon, father of Chad Bacon. A family affair, 2024 will see CB Motorsports expand as a motorsports business and successful race team.
With a few additional test days planned before the start of the season, CB Motorsports and Jared Odrick will kick off their 2024 season later this month at the Sebring International Raceway over the February 22-25 weekend. The complete 2024 Trans Am presented by Pirelli schedule is listed below.
