Epic Motorsports ready for full TA3 campaign

Team Release: Epic Motorsports announces a two car championship effort with drivers Randy Mueller and Michael Camus for Trans Am’s 50th Anniversary season in class TA3. Epic will enter two BMW’s starting at Sebring for the full 12 race campaign.

In 2015 Mueller and Camus got their first taste of the Trans Am Road Racing Series. Camus had 7 starts and Mueller ran 6 of the 12 races. With only 13 combined starts they collected three wins, five podium finishes and one pole position. Camus finished 2nd in class points and Mueller 8th. Both drivers have their eyes on the 2016 TA3 championship.

“This year we should be better as a team and drivers. We think we showed we had the speed to compete in 2015. Consistency and reliability are our prime focus this year. Both are equally important and will be paramount to our success.” Mueller said. “Last season we showed the potential for winning the championship and I think we are capable of doing that.”
“We are committed to a full season and Randy and I are really looking forward to trying to win a championship.” Camus said.

Miami, FL based Epic Motorsports has been built on championships. “We have won 5 NASA National Championships and 6 or 7 BMW National Championships.” Said Mueller. “Moving to pro level racing was the logical next step.”

For Camus 2016 is about learning and growing as a competitor. “I have a lot of work to do as a driver. 2015 was my first professional season.” Camus said. “It was a shocker. The quality of the other drivers was much higher than I had experienced at a club level. It was a bit intimidating initially.” Camus said, “However, im pumped up and excited for the start of a new season.”

Camus also feels confident with Mueller as his driver coach. “Working with Randy is a tough love environment. He doesn’t hold back when I make mistakes. We spend countless hours working on how to make me improve my abilities. His coaching has helped me on and off the track”
