ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (June 28, 2025) - For the second weekend in a row, the CD Racing team of Chris Dyson and Matthew Brabham dominated the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli TA/GT race, with the team earning its second 1-2 finish in as many races. This time, it was Dyson’s No. 16 GYM WEED Ford Mustang that took the checkered flag, securing his second win of the 2025 season at Road America. Brabham (No. 21 GYM WEED Ford Mustang) started the race from the pole, but Dyson took the point position in the first turn and never looked back, leading until the checkered flag waved and securing his 28th-career victory. Brabham was never far behind, holding off challenges from Adam Andretti (No. 17 Top Liner Chevrolet Camaro) and Paul Menard (No. 3 Pittsburgh Paints/Menards Ford Mustang), but he was never unseated from the runner-up position.
Third place changed hands multiple times, with Andretti and Menard swapping the spot twice in the first 20 laps. It was ultimately Andretti who would claim the final spot on the podium, as Menard suffered from a flat left-front tire late in the event, which relegated him back to an eighth-place finish. Fourth through six was determined on the final lap, with a three-way battle between Amy Ruman (No. 23 McNichols Co./Valley Automotive Group Chevrolet Corvette), Tomy Drissi (No. 8 Trench Shoring Co./Motul Chevrolet Camaro) and Brandon Jones (No. 31 Menards/Masterforce Tools Ford Mustang) commencing when the white flag waved. In an exciting final swap of positions, Drissi and Jones both slid past Ruman, with Drissi taking fourth and Jones rounding out the top five.

Chris Dyson earned his 28th-career National Championship victory, tying him with Tommy Kendall for third on the TA class all-time win list.
This was Dyson’s second win of 2025.
CD Racing earned its second-consecutive 1-2 finish, with Matthew Brabham finishing second to Dyson. Brabham led the pair in last weekend’s race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
This was the fourth win of the season for CD Racing. Brabham has two victories this year at Road Atlanta and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, while Dyson won at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and again today at Road America.
Adam Andretti scored his fifth podium in seven races this season. He is tied with Paul Menard for the most podium finishes in 2025.
Menard continues to lead the point standings for the TA class, with Andretti just 26 points back. Tomy Drissi is 59 points behind in third place.
“First of all, I want to say thank you so much to my team for preparing two great cars here,” said Dyson in GYM WEED Winners Circle. “This is the second weekend in a row with a 1-2 finish. That's a really special thing for us as drivers to know that we’ve got cars that can go out and race up front together. I want to say a particular thanks to my young son, Ian, who's here today. It's his first time ever here at Road America. It’s a memorable, memorable relationship that my family has here with this track. For me, it goes back almost 40 years, and I just love this place more and more. Every year we come here, it just gets more special, more meaningful. The No. 16 GYM WEED car was an absolute thrill to drive. I want to say thanks to the fans for being out here and supporting us every year, and thanks to the team.”

XGT:
Kaylee Bryson in the No. 02 Logical Systems Inc. Chevrolet Corvette was the sole competitor in the XGT class, so she challenged herself to set the quickest lap times she could while battling with competitors in other classes before taking the checkered flag.
“We had an absolutely amazing race, we were actually five seconds quicker in this car than we were last year,” said Bryson. “It's really cool to make a difference like that and make our car quicker. You know, our car used to be on the streets several years ago, so to turn it into a racecar is really cool. My team does a phenomenal job and they work their butts off making this car fast. So, to come back here and run a 2:11 in that car is really special. It’s really awesome for my team. I’m really, really thankful for my sponsors, LSI Racing, and everybody that's working on this car. They're doing an amazing job. I’m really thankful for all the fans that are coming out. We made it a really fun weekend.”

Joshua Carlson in the No. 36 Enseva/Diercks Ltd./TC Fab Ford Mustang dominated the SGT class, leading the race from start to finish, continuing a seven-race win streak that dates back to the season finale at Circuit of The Americas last year. Patrick Paul (No. 34 Paul Racing Enterprises Ford Mustang) earned a second-place finish in his first time competing in the SGT class, and Tim Gray (No. 60 Ryan Companies Ford Mustang) finished third.
“The race went really well, obviously; we won, so that was pretty cool,” said Carlson. “I had a lot of fun racing with Patrick [Paul], and Tim [Gray] over here. Patrick kept me honest all weekend and I really hope I get to race with him again. I'm really happy to win at my home track after my third attempt here with Trans Am. I'd like to thank Dan, Michelle, Jim, Lisa, Andy, Paul, Sammy, Marco, my parents, my grandpa, Enseva, Diercks Ltd., Alltest, Inc. and TC Fab. Without any of them, I wouldn't be racing this weekend, so thank you guys for coming out.”

Chris Coffey led the GT race in his No. 97 Norwood Auto Italia/Traffic Grafix Maserati MC GT4 from green to checkers, claiming his fifth victory of the 2025 season. Ryan Szyjakowski (No. 49 Forty 48 Competition Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport) claimed the runner-up spot in his first-career Trans Am race, and Colin Cohen (No. 38 Norwood Auto Italia/Traffic Grafix Maserati MC GT4) earned the third and final podium spot.
“The first thing I want to do is thank the beautiful people of Wisconsin,” said Coffey from the podium. “That [Cheese Cup Festival] parade yesterday was fantastic; we had a little more fun than we can really talk about. It was an absolutely fantastic race. I want to thank Ryan [Szyjakowsk] for coming out and racing with us. My crew, Alex and Xavier, really helped me this weekend because we had to do some spring changes and stuff for the new tires, so thanks guys for helping me with that. I want to thank Josh Hurley. He's really the scientist behind the action, helping me get the car set up through every session. We do so much work, it's crazy. I want to thank Colin and Nancy [Cohen]; without them, I couldn't be here. They are the most important part of my racing program. To my wife Morgan and my son Sam, I love you guys and I can't wait to see you.”

GT1:
In his first-career Trans Am race, Colin Comer (No. 6 Colin’s Classic Auto/Liberty Firearms Ford Mustang) won the GT1 Challenge class after leading almost every lap, only surrendering the lead to Jon DeGaynor (No. 04 Speed Dream’n Racing Ford Mustang) for two laps following the lap-eight restart. DeGaynor finished second, while both Ray Kobs (No. 00 AuditWell Chevrolet Corvette) and Rob Dickey (No. 64 Forty 48 Competition Chevrolet Camaro) retired early due to mechanical issues, finishing third and fourth, respectively.
“Well, it's kind of surprising,” said Comer, jovial in Victory Lane. “I wasn't expecting to be here, I entered last week. I wasn't expecting to finish, because I didn’t have enough fuel. I don't know why I'm here; if you guys know, please go and tell me, but it's pretty cool. I'd like to thank my family: my wife for encouraging me to do this, my daughter, Remington, my son, Briggs, all my in-laws for coming out here, all the guys in the shop for taking care of us, and Liberty Firearms for giving me a little bit of racecar money to come out here. Thanks to my spotter, Boris Said, who talks way too much on the freaking radio. He did a good job. Thank you all, I really appreciate it. This was unexpected and pretty damn cool.”
