CB Motorsports Will Field Not Just One, But Three Trans Am TA2 Entries for the 2024 Season

The 2024 Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli’s Big Machine Vodka SPIKED Coolers TA2 Series season will see the expansion of CB Motorsports. Chad Bacon, President of CB Motorsports, has reached an agreement with team owner Ken Thwaits to acquire all Trans Am TA2 assets from Showtime Motorsports. Showtime Motorsports will continue fielding multiple cars in the Trans Am Series TA class for the 2024 season and beyond.

All parties are excited about this transaction as it allows both teams to reach for success in their respective race series classes. CB Motorsports came into the 2023 Trans Am TA2 series as a well-seasoned race team with over 40 years of team history in IMSA, SRO, SCCA and karting. With a winning history, CB Motorsports sets its sights on the 2024 Trans Am TA2 championship.

“We have an excellent opportunity to expand our footprint in the Trans Am TA2 series,” said Bacon. “It has been our aspiration to grow this team to a multi-car platform from the start, working a deal with Ken moves us in the direction we want to go.”

The team currently has multiple driver opportunities available for its 2024 program.  Based In Mooresville, N.C., CB Motorsports provides arrive-and-drive opportunities for seasoned race professionals, trackside and paddock car/team management, race shop prep, and performance setup assistance.
