Burtin Racing, Adam Andretti to Heading to NOLA for the 2024 Trans Am Championship
  • Adam Andretti returns to the Burtin Racing Chassis #1 at NOLA Raceway Park
  • Andretti is fresh off his TA class win at Road Atlanta last month.
  • Chassis #1 most recently took a podium at VIRginia International Raceway in October with Martin Ragginger behind the wheel.
  • Claudio Burtin drove Chassis #1 at the Hoosier SCCA Super Tour event at Sebring in January, testing with 3D printed Goodyear race tires.

Burtin Racing is pleased to once again to have Adam Andretti racing the innovative #17 Top Liner Chevrolet Camaro in the Trans Am National Championship this weekend at NOLA Raceway Park. Adam Andretti is fresh off his birthday win at Road Atlanta in March.

Burtin Racing chassis #1 made waves in the TA class last October at VIRginia International Raceway with Martin Ragginger, who drove it to a second-place finish from third on the grid in his first start of the season. Ragginger served as the primary test driver for the car, while Andretti and racing icons Boris Said and Andy Lally have also turned test laps in the car.

Research and development work has been crucial to the chassis, and the Burtin entry continues to go under extensive work in preparation for the newer track. As part of the balance between proven aerodynamic development and years of mechanical data, the car has undergone close to 50 wind tunnel tests. Earlier this year, Claudio Burtin tested the car at the Hoosier SCCA Super Tour event at Sebring, running revolutionary 3D printed Goodyear race tires and topping the time sheets in practice. Merging that data and the added track time at Sebring with the existing data from Trans Am’s Pirelli tires gives the team an added optimism going into the race.

Andretti, meanwhile, proves that he is worthy of the teams effort by constantly impressing the fans and team by proving what the car is capable of.

The NOLA is the 3rd of 12 races in Trans Am National Championship for 2024 with three days of on-track action for the TA class. On Sunday, the race will go green at 1:10 PM (CST) with 37 laps or 75 minutes of race action. Click here to purchase tickets to this weekend’s race, and click here to follow along with live timing.
