Archer Forward Focused to Watkins Glen after Misfortune at Nashville

Dylan Archer and the MMR/FPEC Racing Group are eager to return to the track after a month off, for round 10 of 12 in the 2022 Trans Am TA2 season, stopping this weekend at Watkins Glen International. Archer is coming off an unfortunate last race at Nashville, where a mechanical issue ended his day short, after lap 11. Looking ahead to this weekends race at the legendary, 3.45-mile track in New York, Archer is set and focused to get back in the top 10 in points, with the 3 remaining races in the season.

“Heading into The Glen, we are over the top determined to get back into the mix at the front of the field and get the results that we deserve. It will be another new track for me, but one that I’ve looked forward to for a long time! The track is super-fast, has a great flow and we’ve been able to show good pace at tracks with similar characteristics,” says Archer.

Archer currently sits 14th in the points, just 18 points outside of the top 10 and a solid 3rd place in the Wilwood Rookie of the Year standings. With such a strong, competitive field in the Trans Am TA2 series – the standings are changing after every race. “This year has really been full of ups and downs, but I am truly thankful for the opportunities and learnings I’ve had this year. In the last month, we’ve had the privilege of adding another car into our program to help us gather more data and feedback to get us up to speed faster – which is a game changer. Overall, we continue to be on an upwards learning curve and I’m 100% staying focused on the positives for the final races.”

The schedule for this weekend’s events includes two test sessions on Thursday, September 8th, practice and qualifying on Friday, September 9th and the 30 lap/70-minute race starting at 11:10am ET on Saturday, September 10th.
