Nitro Motorsports Confirms 2025 Trans Am Series  Presented by Pirelli Driver Lineup for Sebring

Nine Drivers to Fight for Race Wins Under the Nitro Motorsports Banner

 

February 20, 2025 – Nitro Motorsports is excited to announce its nine-driver lineup for the highly anticipated season opener of the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli at Sebring International Raceway, February 20-23. Building on the success of back-to-back championship seasons, Nitro Motorsports is geared up for another strong showing at one of the most iconic and bumpy racing venues in the world.

In the TA1 class, leading Nitro’s charge will be Brent Crews, a rising star known for his speed and sharp racing tactics. The 2023 Trans Am TA2 champion, Crews made waves last season with podium finishes and race victories. With a determined focus and a proven ability to compete at the highest levels, Crews is poised to start the 2025 season with a strong performance at Sebring.

The TA2 class will see a diverse mix of talented drivers. Thomas Annunziata, returning for his third season with Nitro Motorsports, is eager to build on his impressive 2024 campaign, which featured multiple podiums and wins. With his smooth driving style and extensive track knowledge, Annunziata will be a serious contender for the 2025 TA2 title.

Tyler Gonzalez, fresh off a victory in 2025 Mazda MX-5 competition, looks to carry his momentum into the season opener. Known for his aggressive driving and controlled precision, Gonzalez earned multiple TA2 podiums in 2024. His aggressive approach and tireless work ethic make him a key figure in the TA2 field for 2025.

Mia Lovell, a promising talent and one of the few female drivers in the Trans Am field, is set to make her series debut with Nitro Motorsports. After transitioning through the Toyota GR Cup North America program in alliance with Copeland Motorsports, Lovell enters the 2025 season with a strong winter testing program under her belt. Her determination to succeed and prove herself will make her a driver to watch.

Julian Dacosta, bringing experience and a calm, focused approach, will be another key player in the TA2 class. Known for his race-winning potential, Dacosta has the ability to manage his races, and he’s determined to fight for top finishes throughout the season.

Returning for the 2025 season is Cale Phillips, a veteran driver with a knack for securing solid results in any event he enters. Phillips is especially familiar with the challenges of Sebring, giving him a unique advantage as he eyes valuable points in the season opener and the championship race.

Boris Said Jr., the son of racing legend Boris Said, joins Nitro Motorsports with a legacy of speed and competitive fire. Set to make his Nitro Motorsports debut in the Trans Am Series, Said Jr. aims to bring his family’s racing legacy to life with a strong performance at Sebring and beyond.

Gian Buffomante is entering the 2025 season with a renewed sense of purpose and focus. Buffomante has proven himself to be a versatile racer, adapting well to the technical demands of challenging tracks like Sebring. His goal for the season is to keep developing his skills and challenge for top finishes in the TA2 standings.

Rounding out the TA2 lineup is Sam Corry, a rising star who capped off 2024 with a victory at Circuit of the Americas. Corry’s enthusiasm, focus on performance, and hunger for success make him a driver to keep an eye on as he embarks on his first full season in Trans Am.
