Thomas Annunziata Returns to Nitro Motorsports and Sets Sights on Trans Am Series Championship

Annunziata looks to follow in the footsteps of Crews and Matos
December 3, 2024 – Claiming the third position in the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli 2024 championship chase, Thomas Annunziata is returning in 2025. Sticking with the potent Nitro Motorsports program, Annunziata, a 2024 race winner, is setting his sights on the National Championship as he looks to follow in the footsteps of 2023 champion Brent Crews and 2024 title winner Rafa Matos, both Nitro Motorsports drivers.
“The confirmation of Thomas for 2025 makes him an instant championship threat,” expressed Nitro Motorsports Owner Nick Tucker. “Thomas is a fierce competitor that leaves it on the track every session. He is aggressive when he needs to be but knows how to be conservative when the win is not in the cards. As the 2024 season wore on, Thomas was more and more consistent, a skill needed to challenge for the title in 2025.”
Earning one win and seven podium results in 2024, Annunziata closed the season in a run that saw him finish eight of the last nine races inside the top-five. This included a weekend sweep of the podium's top step at the VIRginia International Raceway.
“The goal for 2025 is simple,” added Annunziata, the 2024 Young Guns Championship winner. “I feel that I have the team and the equipment to battle for race wins each weekend, the experience to battle for the title, and the best team in my corner. Thank you to Nick Tucker and Nitro Motorsports for the opportunity and to all my partners for making this possible. I can’t wait to get started.”
Tucker added, “We have big plans for Nitro Motorsports and Thomas is a major piece to our puzzle.”
The 2025 season is set to commence at the Sebring International Raceway in February and conclude at the Circuit of the Americas in early November. Thomas Annunziata hopes his name is on the championship trophy when the final checkered flag waves in 2025.
