Boris Said and Pancho Weaver Back Together at Watkins Glen

Although you can see him at the racetrack every weekend that his son, Boris Said Jr., is racing in the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series, Boris Said finally returns to action behind the wheel at Watkins Glen, making just his second start of the season. Said will pilot the No. 2 Ultimate Headers/Weaver Racing Dodge Challenger, a machine he has frequently driven to strong finishes. This is the same car that Brent Crews drove to victory in Trans Am’s most recent outing at Road America in June.

Said has made six Trans Am starts at The Glen between the TA and TA2 classes, and has made an additional 28 starts between the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and IMSA.

"Boris and I have been here many times in recent years with great performance runs, but have yet never quite clinched the victory," said team owner Pancho Weaver. "This weekend we plan to change all of that."

Boris and Weaver have been good friends for over 30 years and together have won quite a few Trans Am races all over this great country. Tracks like COTA, VIR, Road Atlanta, Laguna, Seca, and Road America. At some tracks, the pair has won multiple times, but Watkins Glen has been the one track that they always do quite well, but have yet to win. The car is really ready and all systems are go.

"Sponsorship is a must in today's racing arena; these cars just suck up cash," continued Weaver. "Our good friend and partner John Cloud of Ultimate Headers has once again stepped up to back this iconic race at Watkins Glen. We are so thankful for John Cloud's support. We would also like to welcome back STEEL-IT. Owner, Michael Faigan, who has been a great support in past races his help and sponsorship is back at the Glen. STEEL-IT is a steel particle base paint that provides exceptional protection against corrosion. Another great help this weekend is Householder motorsports. Owner and great friend Terry Householder fields and drives trophy trucks in the desert and they're based out of Anaheim California. Thanks to Nova Engines and my crew: Nathan, Derek, Mitch and Shane."
