MBS Racing Completes Its First Trans Am Race at Watkins Glen

MBS Racing completes its first Trans Am race by Pirelli at the Mission Foods Watkins Glen Speed Tour held at Watkins Glen International on August 21-25. As far as races go, you really couldn’t ask for more, as all sessions were completed no major mechanical problems, bar one, and the car is in the trailer without a scratch on it.

We did go too aggressive on the initial setup, which cost us two sessions of valuable track time. For qualifying, a more conservative setup made the car much easier for Bryan to drive. A few tweaks before the race and we started from P27. As expected Bryan had a front row seat to TA2 thrills and spills. We came home P21. So the one mechanical issue was a very soft brake pedal, with just a handful of laps to go. We had Bryan slow way up and let the leaders catch him so he had one less lap to do, and he took the checkers on his first Trans Am TA2 race. Next up a Mid-Ohio Regional race for more testing then off to COTA for the MBS Racing / Alliance Autosport second TA2 race.
