MBS Racing is proud to announce their first entry into Trans Am by Pirelli. The Mission Foods Watkins Glen Speed Tour at Watkins Glen International on August 21-25 will be the debut MBS Racing TA2 Cope Camaro driven by Bryan Scheible.
Mary Scheible along with the crew of John Mills and Brian Culbertson from Alliance Autosport are managing the team.
Bryan is a 3rd generation SCCA member and his kids are the 4th. They are an autosports family that enjoys a variety of venues along with meeting cool like- minded people within the sport. His goal is continual advancement of his driving ability and education in all types of racing disciplines. His main focus has been with endurance racing but now he is transitioning into Trans-Am TA2 with a Cope Camaro.
He has assembled an extremely knowledgable crew to support team effort along with providing driver education to fine tune his ability to race these cars.
In the 80’s he earned his pro rally license through SCCA in order to co-drive in some of the best pro rallies in North America at a young age. Mary has been by his side as co-driver since the late 80’s. The 90’s consisted of driving in regional winter rally series in North East USA and Canada. The early 2000’s consisted of high performance track events and Rallies with numerous organizations as a family. His wife, son and daughter have all road raced. His daughter was even president of a local SCCA chapter in Texas. What a nice way to spend time as a family!
Past racing highlights included:
1. SCCA – Owned and raced a Formula Enterprise 2 car at national level. Alliance Autosports in Ohio was extremely helpful with car prep and driver coaching across various tracks throughout USA.
2. SCORE – Bryan and Mary raced in the SCORE Baja series for years. He managed to iron-man 3 Baja 1000’s in a Spec Trophy Truck all with respectable finishes. Brenthel Industries Managed their truck and provided awesome pit support.
3. Best In The Desert - Mary co-drove every race in the 2022 season. They solo drove and co-drove as a team in Iconic events like Vegas to Reno, Parker 425 and Silver State 300. They finished 3rd overall in the series championship. Not bad against the factory teams as a husband and wife.
4. World Racing League and Champcar– As a family, they endurance road race a Fun Cup VW. Bryan his wife, son and daughter rotate driving and pit duties. They have won numerous awards in these series in tracks throughout USA and Canada.
5. Legacy Desert Racing — season Highlight was racing unlimited 1300hp AWD Trophy Truck to first place in 2023 6. Fun Cup Belgium — Bryan and his son were invited to race at SPA in Belgium at the annual 25 hour endurance race. Their responsibility was to rotate driving duties to get the car through the night hours for a safe hand-over to day time drivers. His son set some of the fastest rain time in the dark. Mission accomplished!
Bryan’s goals are to have fun with his family and teammates while learning how to be a better driver. MBS racing is also planning on the COTA TA2 race this year with a desire to compete in the pick six program for 2025. Please check out their instagram page for updates at @mbsracing53.
