Sheehan and Vixen LTK Mustang Face Adverse Trans Am Race at Mid-Ohio

Lexington, OHIO – June 24, 2024 – Summer was soaring this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course for the Trans Am presented by Pirelli Championships. Tom Sheehan and the Mike Cope prepped Vixen LTK Mustang consistently battled through the ranks in Saturday’s race to place P14 overall and P4 in Pro Am.
It was an exciting week for the Vixen Motorcycle crew, coming off an impressive event at the Laconia Bike Rally. The brand known for fashionable riding attire and top-notch motorcycle parts is showcased on the No. 97 Vixen LTK Mustang and the beautiful car design beamed in the Midwest sun.
After qualifying P16 on the race grid, Sheehan got to work at the green flag. Under extreme heat warnings, it was a conditioning test for machine and driver. After falling back to P20 during the first half of the race, Sheehan battled steadily back up the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 field. He did a great job with equipment management to see the car perform consistently in the second half of the race.
“I felt really good about the car going into the race,” commented Sheehan. “The Mike Cope crew and I have meshed and it’s really working well. We missed a little bit on air pressure. I drove through it, and we were able to run P3 and P2 was inevitable. I will be ready at Road America."
