CB Motorsports and Caleb Bacon head to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course This Weekend

June 19, 2024 – In the heart of the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli season, CB Motorsports and Caleb Bacon will head to the Midwest for the seventh round of the national program. Sitting eighth in the National Championship point standings, Bacon is looking to rebound this weekend and fight his way back to the front of the field.

“We have been in a slight slump lately, but that is not for lack of speed, just some bad luck,” explained Bacon. “We had a lot of success at the start of the year, and the goal is to get back to that form this weekend at Mid-Ohio.”

Competing in the Cube 3 Architecture TA2 class, Bacon is piloting the #18 CB Motorsports prepared Chevrolet Camaro. Currently eighth in the standings, only 54 points away from the top-five, Bacon’s goals have been set this weekend.

“We need to qualify better than we have in the past, and then transform that qualifying effort into a solid performance in the race,” Bacon added. “We have the car, equipment, team, and speed to do that, and I love the Mid-Ohio track, so I am very positive heading into the weekend.”

With Caleb Bacon the sole driver for CB Motorsports this weekend, Bacon will be joined by John Weisberg at the next round at Road America.

Caleb Bacon will hit the track on Thursday for a pair of test sessions before qualifying takes place on Friday. The green flag will fly on Saturday afternoon and CB Motorsports will be in the hunt for the win with Caleb Bacon at the end of the 45-lap affair.
