Nitro Motorsports Adds Jared Odrick for the Remainder of 2024

Former NFL star turned racer Jared Odrick is set to join Nitro Motorsports
May 30, 2024 – Competing in the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli and earning a podium result in the Pro / Am category, former NFL star turned racer is now set to join Nitro Motorsports. As the winningest team and the team attaining the most podiums to date in the 2024 Trans Am season, Nitro Motorsports is pleased to welcome Jared Odrick to their stable as they look to help him achieve his motorsports goals.
“We are excited to have Jared join our efforts for the remainder of the 2024 season,” explained Nick Tucker, Owner of Nitro Motorsports. “Jared is a relatively new driver but has had some success. Our program will allow him to feed off several different drivers in his quest for success.”
With a college football career at Penn State, Odrick entered the NFL with the Miami Dolphins after being the 28th pick in the first round of the 2010 draft. Playing with the team until the end of the 2014 season, Odrick then signed a free-agent deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars for two seasons. Outside of football, Odrick has been involved in large studio and independent films and has written several articles for various sports publications. Moving on to success in motorsports, Odrick claimed the 2023 SCCA Runoffs GT2 National Championship at VIRginia International Raceway behind the wheel of a Porsche 991.2 GT3 Cup racecar.
“Jumping into TA2 Trans Am Pro Racing has been a trial by fire; I learn quicker when the stakes are higher. I’m very thankful to have the opportunity to compete for and learn with Nick and my new Nitro Motorsports teammates, and my eyes are set on a Pro-Am podium in Pittsburgh,” explained Odrick. “Their track record proves they have the winning pedigree, and I am excited to be part of that program moving forward.”
Tucker continued, “Jared will provide us another chance at race wins and podium results in the Pro / Am class, all while learning from our race-winning National class competitors.”
The Nitro Motorsports Trans Am program will next visit the Pittsburgh International Race Complex on June 7-9.
