Will Rodgers Fastest at Sonoma Practice, Chris Evans Race Cars Entries Sweep Top Three

Tim Barber Fastest in TA2, David Hampton Quickest in GT

SONOMA, Calif. (April 19, 2024) – Practice has concluded for the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli Western Championship doubleheader weekend at Sonoma Raceway. XGT’s Will Rodgers in the No. 12 Central Welding Supply Ford Mustang was quickest overall with a best time of 1:32.741. He was followed by teammates Dylan Lupton in the No. 79 Lupton Excavation Ford Mustang and Michelle Nagai in the No. 72 Nagai Racing/Berkeley Jet Drive Chevrolet Camaro, with the Chris Evans Race Cars entries sweeping the top three spots.

Thunderhill Race 1 winner Tim Barber in the No. 33 DIG Motorsports Ford Mustang was fastest of the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series entries, and David Hampton in the No. 14 AR Motorsports Porsche Cayman GT4 CS MR topped the GT class.

Qualifying will take place tomorrow at 8:10 a.m. PT. Race 1 of the Sonoma SpeedTour will be contested tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. PT.
