Trans Am Champion and Showman Tomy Drissi Stuns Fans at Historic Lime Rock Park

Trans Am Champion and showman Tomy Drissi ends race early at Historic Lime Rock Park in dramatic style after a late race incident at the Annual Memorial Day Race. The incident that stopped the race left fans and spectators in suspense was met with quick action from the emergency response team and track workers who were quick to attend to Drissi and repair the safety barriers to get racing back underway.

“I’m so fortunate to have a great team that built a fast and safe car. Of course the race didn’t go as planned, but moments like this remind us of how safe the Trans Am cars are and how great of a job the track and organizers do so we can race like this. I can’t thank Lucas Oil and the Lucas racing family enough and the guys and girls at 3GT Racing for making a car that was not only fast, but also did its job in protecting me. A big thanks is also due to the series and workers that were quick to respond to make sure I was ok. It wasn’t how I wanted to finish the race but I’ll always remember the race for the enthusiasm from the fans the entire weekend.” said Drissi.
