Archer Returns to Trans Am TA2 for 2022 Season Debut at Sebring

MMR Racing, Food Processing Equipment Company (FPEC) and Dylan Archer officially announce their partnership in The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli’s TA2 series, with Dylan Archer behind the wheel this weekend at Sebring, Florida.  This marks a return for the racer in this series since his initial TA2 debut with an 8th place finish at Brainerd International Raceway in 2020.

Archer will pilot the #0 FPEC MMR/FPEC Racing Group Ford Mustang, which brings together a perfect trio of experience, expertise and excitement.  FPEC Owner, Alan Davison - race car driver and car enthusiast, brings his passion for auto racing including his continued involvement and support of various road racing series. “I’m excited for MMR, FPEC and Dylan Archer to be joining TA2 together in 2022 with a brand-new car. Our #0 represents a new beginning and partnership that I couldn’t be more excited to see us moving to the top throughout the year,” says Davison.

MMR Racing team owner Mike McManman, has created a team with the right components, including the best and very latest in equipment with Howe Racing Chassis and Katech Engines. “I’m personally excited about this partnership with Alan Davison and Dylan Archer because we were able to put together a group of arguably some of the best, most accomplished talent in the Trans Am paddock today.  We then were lucky enough to join forces with a very hungry and talented young driver with Dylan. A lot of people really want to see great things happen with Dylan and the MMR team is very proud to be part of all that enthusiasm!” Additionally, a key contributor of that talent comes from MMR Racing Crew Chief Jimmy Fraser, who not only brings his 30+ years and 4 championships to the team, but a wealth of knowledge with a team totaling over 60+ years of Trans Am experience.

Dylan Archer, the 22-year-old Texas native, has been laser focused on his racing career both on and off the track, positioning him to be focused and confident heading into the weekend. “I’ve had the opportunity to test and race in a variety of different racecars over the past 2 years and have been able to speed up my learning process since Brainerd, tremendously. I’m very excited to be a part of the MMR/FPEC Racing Group and work with this very experienced team to showcase our skills. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Alan Davison and FPEC for the last 2 years and it’s been a fantastic relationship that began with us as competitors and has grown all the way to winning endurance races together,” says Archer.

This weekend’s schedule includes test sessions on Thursday and Friday, practice and qualifying on Saturday and the 27 lap or 75-minute race on Sunday, at 1:00pm – 2:15pm Eastern Time.
