Robert Noaker Racing Enters the Trans Am TA2 Series for 2022
February 14, 2022

Driver Robert Noaker will bring his family-run team to the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli for the 2022 season, with plans to run the entire TA2 Division National Schedule. The team will campaign the number 03 Ford Mustang- a Mike Cope Racing chassis powered by Choice engines from Koury.
Noaker started Karting at the age of 5, and moved to cars with the Skip Barber Racing Series at only 12 years old. Recent campaigns in both Mazda MX-5 Cup and IMSA’s TCR Division resulted in numerous poles and race wins, with Noaker setting records for youngest winner of an INDYCAR sanctioned event, and youngest pole winner in IMSA TCR history.
During his 2021 IMSA season, Noaker started looking toward the next step in his road racing career. After noticing the growing car counts and close competition in the Trans Am Series, and a successful test with Nitro Motorsports, Noaker decided that TA2 was the way to go. “I love how raw the cars are, with no ABS or Traction Control. The traditional manual transmission and solid axle make it really challenging and fun to be on the limit all the time,” said Noaker.
The 18-year-old Rookie will also be eligible for the $20,000 Peter Gregg Foundation Young Gun Award, which goes the the highest points finishing driver under 25 years old.
The first event for the team will be at Sebring International Raceway, February 24th through the 27th, as the Trans Am Series kicks off its 55th season.
