Deep Breath

New York –After three races in three weeks, the F.A.S.T. Auto Racing team was ready to get home and take a
deep breath. The Trans Am presented by Pirelli’s schedule now gives the teams a much needed five-week break
before the final round at Circuit of the Americas (COTA), Nov. 5-7.

Team Owner Adrian Wlostowski said, “The past few weeks have been especially challenging for us. My No. 3,
Hawk Performance, Howe Racing Enterprises, Camaro came home from Watkins Glen with rear end damage.
My guys including, Chaz Howe and his staff, worked day and night and did an amazing job. Considering the
amount of time between races turning the car around was a tremendous effort by everyone.”

The F.A.S.T. Auto Racing team arrived at Virginia International Raceway tired, but ready. The ever-confident
team of New Yorkers came to VIR off a run of top five finishes and felt their time for a podium finish was
imminent. But it was just not in the cards.

“Going in we thought our baseline set up was pretty close,” Wlostowski said. “But we were really far off. I was
battling a very loose car and finding the right set up was a challenge – and it took a time. Come qualifying, I
still wasn’t happy with the set up and the best I could do was 11 th .”

After qualifying, the team went back to work to find the key to make Wlostowski’s car better. The race began
and Wlostowski felt strong as he began moving through the field – then things changed.

“At the beginning of the race we quickly picked up some positions. I felt like we had finally found our pace
then a heavy vibration forced me to pit. I had a loose wheel and the crew hustled to change out it out and I was
off. But my problems were not over as they released me before all lugs were tight and I had to make another
stop. Obviously, I’m disappointed, but we can’t change what happened and like it or not — it’s part of racing.

“Now we have a break before our final race and time to take a much-needed deep breath. The crew has been
through a lot in our first year in TA2, and they have done an incredible job. The three races in three weeks just
beat us into the ground. No doubt it took a lot out of all of us — me included. Now we have time to re-evaluate,
re-energize and arrive at COTA focused as a team and ready to finish the season on a high note.

“I have to thank my team and their families for their effort and dedication. It’s been difficult for us all, but
we’ve done a hell of a good job in our first year, and everyone should be proud. A big thank you to Hawk
Performance and Howe Racing Enterprises for their continued support. We greatly appreciate all they have
done for our team.”
