Connor Mosack, Driver No. 28, TeamSLR:

“I’m pretty happy with how the race went. I would’ve liked to have had a couple more laps to run down the third-place car. We had run him down pretty good there at the end, but with the crash we had in practice on Friday, going to the backup car, and the work we had to do on it, I think we could’ve had a little bit better result. But with the way the race went, not having a green flag and kind of getting caught off-guard there and falling back, and then having to miss that wreck on the next restart and falling back, it just kind of put us in a hole early. We had really good long-run speed, so we were able to run those cars down at the end. We just needed a few more laps. Overall, I’m happy with running all the laps and finishing fourth. I’m proud of all my guys and thankful we’ll have a lot of speed come Nashville.”

Jack Wood, Driver No. 96, TeamSLR:

“I was having a ton of fun today. These TeamSLR guys build some really fast racecars. We kind of had a little bit of ups and downs throughout the race. We ended up having the brakes kind of fade on us in the first half of the race and that got us trapped a lap down. But we got that fixed and ended up having really, really good speed the second half of the race. Overall, it was a really positive experience for me. It was a great opportunity to build on my road-course racing experience. I’m extremely thankful that I was able to get behind the wheel of the Chevy Camaro with TeamSLR in the Trans Am Series this weekend and, hopefully, some of this speed will carry over to Watkins Glen in a couple of weeks when I strap in behind the wheel of my Chevy Silverado. I’m extremely thankful and very blessed to get the opportunity to do the things I’m getting to do in my life.”

The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli heads to Nashville, Tennessee, for the inaugural Music City Grand Prix Aug. 6-7. Practice at the 2.17-mile, 11-turn street circuit begins Aug. 6 with qualifying taking place before the race on Aug. 7.
