Abbate to Make Trans Am National Tour Debut
November 13, 2020

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Las Vegas, NV) - Trans Am West Coast Series competitor Michele Abbate of Grr Racing announces she will be making her National Tour debut at Road Atlanta. The exciting double header event is scheduled for November 20-22 and Michele will be driving the BC Racecars #20 Chevrolet Camaro; the Canada-based team that captured the pole position in qualifying last year at Road Atlanta.
"I truly cannot put into words how thrilled and thankful I am for this opportunity. I am most excited to be driving for Blaise and Penny of BC Racecars because the amount of knowledge, experience, and prep work that their entire team puts into their program is bar none. Their results speak for themselves and the experience will be invaluable to me as a driver," Michele Abbate shares.
She is looking forward to working with a team that knows how to set the car up, as well as being able to lean on veteran team driver Misha Goikhberg for driver coaching. "I will literally have everything I need to set me up for success and I am more than excited to capitalize on the opportunity to learn throughout the weekend. It will be really great to see how I compare to the national tour drivers in this set up - unlike my much older chassis that we are running in the West Coast," she said.
Abbate just returned from a very successful weekend at the Circuit of the America's where she earned herself another podium finish in the West Coast category, continuing her top 5 finish streak for the entire 2020 season so far. Michele is the only female in the world racing in the Trans Am TA2 category and she is making a name for herself - she is trailing the Championship points leader by just 3 points as they head into the final round of the year in a few weeks at Laguna Seca, Dec. 4-6.
