Grr Racing's Michele Abbate heads to the PNW for Round 5 of the Trans Am West Coast Series

With only two rounds remaining in the Trans Am West Coast Championships presented by Pirelli, the Grr Racing team looks to continue to improve and gain more seat time in their gen 5 TA2 Chevrolet Camaro.  The weather looks to be promising and driver Michele Abbate continues to have a positive outlook for the remainder of the season.

Abbate has raced a couple of times at Portland International Raceway, and it is actually the track where she was crowned STU Champion of the SCCA US Majors Tour in 2015.  "I always love coming up to the Pacific Northwest, and Portland is such a fabulous track being located right in the heart of this city," Michele shares.  "I'm looking forward to getting on track, my last visit here in 2018 fell short after a mechanical issue that only gave me 5 laps on the test day.  I'm feeling it's time for redemption in my Grr Racing TA2 car!".

Saturday July 27th will kick off practice at 11:15am-11:50pm and qualifying is from 3:30pm-4:30pm.  The feature Trans Am TA2 race will take place Sunday July 28th from 10:40am-12:00pm, you can follow along all weekend on www.gotransam.com with their live timing and scoring updates.  If you're at the event be sure to look for the Grr Racing CVRD Canopies and come by to check out the team's new Intech Trailer!
