Ruman Aiming for Trans Am Podium at Road Atlanta

Munroe Falls, Ohio – The Trans Am Series Championship Presented by Pirelli will be heading to Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA this weekend for Round 2 of the 2019 Championship and Speed Tour alongside SVRA.  After finishing fifth in the season opener at Sebring, Ruman will eye the top step this weekend at Road Atlanta.

Ruman has captured three career victories at Road Atlanta driving the No. 23 McNichols Co. Corvette, including her historic first ever Trans Am win in 2011, and is looking to add one more to her victory column.

“Road Atlanta has traditionally been a really strong track for us and I’m expecting us to be smooth and fast here once again. My main goal is to be fast and consistent throughout the weekend so we can land ourselves back on the podium this year. I really enjoy racing here; the fans are always great, and the racing is always competitive because the track can get tricky as the race goes on and its very busy too!” remarked Ruman.

There are 56 competitors entered for this weekend’s races across the four classes, with 13 entered in the TA class. The weekend will start off with a promoter test day on Friday March 29th. Official TA practice and a qualifying session will take place on Saturday. Sunday, March 31, 2019 will feature two Trans Am races – the TA/SGT/GT race at 8:50am followed by the TA2 race Powered by AEM at 1:25pm, both at 40-laps (101.6-mi) – all times listed are ET.
