Fields Racing/Team SLR and Lawrence Equipment ink partnership for VIR.

(Team release) - September 2018  Richmond, VA - Fields Racing/Team SLR is proud to announce a new partnership deal heading into the next round of the Trans Am Series Championship at Virginia International Raceway September 21-22.

Virginia-based Lawrence Equipment and industry partners Strickland Manufacturing, Bandit Industries, Inc. and Lemac Excavator Customizing have joined forces to cheer on the No. 95 TA2 Camaro of driver Scott Lagasse, Jr.  “The home track at VIR is the perfect backdrop for us to work together and go for a win, said Fields Racing owner Chris Liesfeld. We have a great group of people who are just as excited as we are to do that. After Scott’s P1 start at Watkins Glen, we want to capitalize on that momentum and see what we can do at VIR.  All of us at Fields and SLR sincerely appreciate their support.”

The VIR race also marks the return to a two-car program for the team. With the Lawrence Equipment group backing the No.95 of Lagasse, Jr., the No. 96 car will be making its second appearance of the year with team owner Chris Liesfeld behind the wheel. (the No. 96 raced at Homestead with Kyle Marcelli driving, finishing P5 after leading much of the race). Fields Racing team manager Lee Quinlan states "I've learned a lot from Scotty and his father this year and the whole group is starting to come together as a force to be reckoned with.  I'm excited to see Chris back on the track again and am looking forward to a good performance from both cars"
