Leadfoot Racing

Leadfoot Racing (www.leadfootracing.com) is a professional sports car racing team owned by Colby and Lynn Hillman and is based out of a beautiful 7000 sq. ft. facility in Plain City Ohio.
Colby has been involved in some form of automobile racing his whole life. He first started racing Go-Karts at the age of 7 and in 67 years has won countless races and championships. Currently 75 years old, Colby is still extremely competitive. In the last five years (please remember that almost all of the 2020’s races were canceled for COVID), Colby has won the 2018 SVRA National Endurance Championship, the 2017 SVRA Hawk Brake Pads Endurance National Points Championship, and the 2016 West Coast VARA (Vintage Auto Racing Association) National A Production Points Champion.
In 2021, the decision was made to take the leap to Professional Racing – specifically the “Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli” and was followed by the team renting on an “arrive and drive” basis – a TA2 Mustang for the West Coast TA2 Championship through the former Nelson Motorsports. At that time, running the “west coast” made a lot of sense as Colby and Lynn owned a winter home in California and had always wanted to see and run the West Coast tracks. Colby did well in his first year finishing 13th. overall, in the West Coast TA2 Class. Last year Colby decided that he enjoyed racing the Trans Am Series and the TA2 Class so much that he and Lynn bought one of the Nelson Mustangs that he had raced and had it shipped back to Ohio where it has been totally updated to 2023 standards. Please look for Colby, Lynn and the entire Leadfoot Team at select Trans Am events beginning in May of 2023. Stop by and say “Hi!” We would love to meet you.
