Berkeley aims for TA3I Championship at Daytona

(Team Release) Daytona Beach, FL -November 12, 2014  Jason Berkeley and the BMG Management / Berkeley Motorsports team are heading into the Trans Am series finale at Daytona International Speedway this week‎ with one goal in mind: secure the championship.

Team Principal and driver Jason Berkeley currently has a three point lead over Norm Betts and a 22 point lead over Russ Snow. 'The team has done an amazing job rebuilding the driveline of the car after‎ a series of issues at VIR, and going through everything to make sure we have the most reliable car possible,' Berkeley said referring to the team's Chevrolet Corvette C6R.

'The key to wrapping-up the championship is having a reliable car and getting the car home in one piece‎. That being said, we still want to push for the win and won't be leaving anything on the table. Were going to race Norm and Russ hard and try to walk away with a win in addition to the TA3I Championship.'

The BMG Management / Berkeley Motorsports team has had a roller-coaster ride of a season, with three wins at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Lime Rock Park, and Virginia International Raceway. The team has also had three pole positions, including one at Road America, which was the scene of their season low-point after an early-race incident resulted in serious damage to the car, and a DNF.

'Regardless of the outcome, we've had a heck of a season, and i'm proud of the team. Trans Am has done a fantastic job growing the ‎series, and we're excited to be a part of that growth.

The Trans Am series races this Saturday, November 15th at 10:30am at Daytona International Speedway.
