May 4, 2014
(Team Release) (New York, NY - May 6, 2014) Berkeley Motorsports has made the most of their nearly two month break from the last round of the iconic Trans Am series at Homestead-Miami Speedway and are ready to roll at Road Atlanta this weekend for the 100 Mile of Luna-C.
'We learned a lot at our debut outing in the TA3 class of the Trans Series, where we were one of the fastest cars all weekend. We have taken advantage of the time-off to make some reliability and serviceability changes to the car, as well as perform some additional set-up and development work,' according to team principal and driver Jason Berkeley.
'We are going into Road Atlanta confident that our BMG Management Corvette C6R is ready to help the team achieve our first Trans Am series win.'
Berkeley and the Berkeley Motorsports team are heading into Road Atlanta facing a points deficit after first lap contact knocked them out of contention at the last round at Homestead. 'We really need a strong performance this weekend, and the team and I are intently focusing on making sure we get on the podium. Our partners at Black Dog Speed Shop and Hoosier having been working hard to ensure that we are ready.'
Berkeley and the BMG Management Berkeley Motorsports Corvette C6R will be on-track this weekend at the 100 Miles of Luna-C Trans Am Series event at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia in conjunction with the Formula-D Drift series. Race time is set for 11am on Saturday May 10th.
