Trans Am announces Ryan Companies Independence Day Classic

Brainerd International Raceway event added to 2015 broadcast schedule
MIAMI, Fla. (May 19, 2015) – The Trans Am Race Company has announced an agreement with Ryan Companies US, Inc., that will see Round 6 of the 2015 Trans Am Championship at Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) entitled the Ryan Companies Independence Day Classic.
In addition, Trans Am’s northern pilgrimage to BIR will join the expanding list of broadcasts throughout Trans Am’s 2015 season, bringing one of the Series’ historic homes to a national broadcast audience on CBS Sports Network. BIR’s addition sees the total 2015 broadcast schedule boosted to 10 shows from seven events, with select TA2 races receiving their own broadcast.

With Ryan Companies, BIR and Trans Am working together, I’m sure the Ryan Companies Independence Day Classic will be a true experience for our fans at the track and across the nation at home.”
The event weekend takes place on Sunday, July 3-5, 2015, and marks Trans Am’s 25th race at the Brainerd, Minnesota, track—located roughly 125 miles north of the Ryan Companies US national headquarters in Minneapolis.
“We have wanted to increase our involvement in Trans Am for some time now,” said Tim Gray, Chairman of Ryan Companies US, Inc. “I’m a competitor in the TA2 class myself, and I’ve seen, firsthand, the astronomical growth that the Series has experienced under The Trans Am Race Company. We’re excited to showcase the Trans Am show for our employees, partners and all of Minnesota.”
In addition, the Ryan Companies Independence Day Classic will kick off a new annual date for Trans Am, over the Fourth of July weekend, as the Series and track work to build a true North American road racing classic.
