Trans Am TA2 points leader ready for Canada

Altamonte Springs, FL/April 10, 2013- Cameron Lawrence of Windermere, FL, the 2013 Trans-Am Sebring International Raceway Winner in the TA2 Class, continues his Trans-Am schedule at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park for the Victoria Day SpeedFest this weekend. Lawrence is confident he has the car and team behind him to expect similar results as when he won from Pole at Sebring in March. This time the Florida native arrives with a new twist, he’s never tried to conquer the legendary ‘Turn 2’ of the famed Canadian circuit.

Known as a true drivers track, Lawrence is excited to make a go at the track for the first time: “After two months away from the track I can’t wait to get back in the race car. Canadian Tire Motorsports Park is the only track on the schedule this year that I have not been to. I love the challenges of learning a new track and am excited to get some real time on track instead of only relying on iRacing. Lime Rock is also right around the corner after this weekend. I had a great time at Lime Rock last year before losing an axle took me out of the race. Miller Racing gives me a great car and I expect to run strong there this year.”

Lawrence has been busy finishing up his finals at the University of Central Florida, where he just completed his Junior year, and will have little down time as he heads straight into a busy summer racing schedule. Known as one of the series’ young up-and-coming drivers to contend with, Cameron firmly has the championship within his sights and a top team supporting him along the way with the Miller Racing team to help turn those goals into a reality.
