The Sun Shines on Sheehan and Howe TA2 Drivers at the Big Easy.
October 16, 2015

After two races with Howe TA2 drivers out front in the rain you could wonder if chassis built in the Great Lakes State are just more at home when surrounded by water. If this is true it could be the nearby Mississippi Delta that helped Howe driver's sweep the top four positions at a sunny Nola Motorsports Park.
A methodical Gar Robinson topped the podium for the second time this season followed by Shane Lewis and Adam Andretti in Howe Chevy Camaros. Cameron Lawrence completed the top four in a Howe Dodge Challenger. Robinson leads the class with seven podium finishes on the season and currently sits second in championship points behind defending TA2 champion Cameron Lawrence. In addition to his second place finish, Lewis also claimed the pole for the event with a blistering 1.42.06 in Fast Five qualifying. A third place finish for Andretti was his second consecutive podium finish and fifth of the year.
Auburn, New Hampshire's Tom Sheehan collected the $850 Howe Long Haul Award after a 1,575 mile journey to New Orleans. Sheehan started the event with a solid shot at a top five finish. Unfortunately, mid race set-backs forced his sun yellow Camaro to settle for a respectable eleventh place finish. Sheehan is the tenth different recipient of the Howe Contingency Award. The Howe Long Haul Award winners are determined by the travel distance from each driver's home town to the track address. Each driver may only receive the award once per season.
Howe Racing Enterprises was founded in 1971 and has been involved in the TA2 class since its inception in 2011. Howe produces a wide variety of specialized racing components in addition to partial and complete cars for asphalt racing worldwide.
