Seamus McKendree Inks Deal with Nitro Motorsports TA2 Program for 2025

Seamus McKendree set for TA2 and other race programs in 2025
September 26, 2024 – Continuing to add to their growing 2025 race program, Nitro Motorsports has inked a deal with Seamus McKendree. Looking to take advantage of the Nitro Motorsports success, the 17-year-old McKendree will compete in the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli West TA2 program next season and fill his calendar with other select races.
“We are thrilled to have Seamus join us in 2025,” explained Nick Tucker. “His work ethic and results prove that he has what it takes, and we look forward to helping him transition from karts and formula cars to TA2 machinery and continue his upward trajectory.”
"I am beyond excited to race TA2 next year with Nitro Motorsports and learn from all the talented people in the shop and at the track,” explained McKendree. “My family has a long history of driving and racing with my Great-Grandpa bootlegging in Kentucky, my Grandpa in trucking, and my Dad racing sports cars, so I want to take it further. 2025 can't come soon enough for me."
Seamus McKendree is a 17-year-old racing driver working to make his way up the motorsports ladder to the world of NASCAR and IMSA racing. Starting in regional four-stroke karting and winning a Junior championship in 2022, McKendree began national-level karting and succeeded in several of North America’s top karting series.
In addition to karting, Seamus finished seventh in his first F4 race in 2023, grabbed the third step of the podium in the Lucas Oil Winter Series championship, and is competing in the Lucas Oil Formula Car championship in 2024. Currently second in the championship point standings, Seamus has achieved nine podium results, including multiple victories, and still has three races remaining.
Excited for 2025, Seamus McKendree will aim to finish his 2024 strong before immediately diving into the Nitro Motorsports winter test program.
