Rob Bodle recaps the season heading into NJMP
May 27, 2014

(Team Release) Vince Lombardi was once quoted as saying, "it's not whether you get knocked, its whether you get back up." For Rob Bodle and his caribbeanfooddelights.com race team it has been about getting back up and getting back in the game over the first four races of the season.
The season started with the driver getting sick very early in the season opener at Sebring International Raceway and was followed by a gear shifter failure the next weekend at Homestead Motor Speedway. The 8th and 6th place finishes in those two races put the #16 Mustang way behind to start the season.
However, since then the team produced a solid 5th place finish at Road Atlanta followed the next weekend by a solid 4th place at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The improvement has bounced Bodle ", Bodle said. At CTMP, it was our first time there and we only got three laps on the track before the race started. Yet at the end we thought we had something for Joe and Chuck and while it didn't work out we left the track with increased confidence."
With New Jersey Motorsports Park this weekend the #16 team brings two new teammates to the track. "We were asked to write a racer blog for StangTV.com and our first blog entry was posted last week." "I will have something fresh about our Trans Am Series activity regularly on StangTV.com. It’s partly about a regular guy getting to live his dream. It’s partly about helping other regular guys and girls improve their track or club race Mustangs."
Also, Bodle is announcing that long time sponsor specclutch.com has increased its participation in the Trans Am program. "Spec Clutches and Flywheels have been with me for eight years now. Going back to when I wrote track car stories for Mustang Enthusiast Magazine. This year they have stepped up their participation and I couldn't be more excited,” said Bodle. Look for Spec Clutch information and tips at each Trans Am race at the #16 paddock.
