Quine Returns to Trans Am and Lime Rock with Dayton Logistics as new sponsor

(Team Release) MEDINA, OH—September 15, 2014 – After a fine fifth place finish in his Trans Am debut at Mid-Ohio, rookie Aaron Quine will return for his second Trans Am race and his second ever event at Lime Rock, and he’ll have a new sponsor in tow: Dayton Logistics.

Quine ran the historic Lime Rock track just once—in 2007—and won the pole and the race in SCCA’s T1 class with his C5 Corvette. This time he’ll be in the TA2 class with his Tony Ave Racing Mustang, and the car is ready to go after having brake and power steering issues at Mid-Ohio. The brake issue limited his practice laps at Mid-Ohio, and the power steering issue limited him to just one flying lap in qualifying. Even so, he qualified ninth before finishing fifth in the race, running as high as third before late race contact dropped him down a few spots.

“In my only race at Lime Rock, it was dry for qualifying but wet for the warm-up and race,” recalls Quine. “Now that we’ve got the car sorted a bit more, I’m really hoping that the weather cooperates this weekend. I’d love to get in quite a few dry laps to see what the car and I can do.”

In addition to his regular sponsors, Quine will have Dayton Logistics as his main sponsor. “Representatives from Dayton Logistics were at the Mid-Ohio race,” said Quine. “They came up to me after the race to say they were impressed with my run, then contacted me the next week and said they’d like to sponsor me for Lime Rock and VIR. We’re so thankful for their support and thrilled at the opportunity they’re helping to provide.”

Depending on how Lime Rock and VIR go, Quine may also run the season finale at Daytona. “We’re taking each race weekend one lap at a time,” said Quine. “Our goal is to be fast, safe and run toward the front. If we can do that, we’ll see what happens from there.”
