Quine Racing Ready to Tackle Full Trans Am Season in 2015
December 9, 2014

MEDINA, OH—December 10, 2014 – After getting a taste of the Trans Am series in 2015, Quine Racing driver Aaron Quine is ready to tackle the full Trans Am season in 2015.
Quine will run in the TA2 class with a Howe Racing Enterprises Chevrolet Camaro powered by a Katech Racing engine. The car will feature a Hugger Orange livery inspired by the 1969 Camaro Z28.
Quine got a taste of the Trans Am series in 2014 at Mid-Ohio, Lime Rock and VIR. In his Trans Am debut at Mid-Ohio, Quine battled nose-to-tail and side-by-side with Trans Am legend Tommy Kendall for several laps before eventually moving into third place. A podium finish seemed likely until contact with another car in the closing laps dropped him into fifth place.
The 42-year-old Quine has lived in the Akron area his entire life and has been an SCCA racer for more than 20 years. Quine has enjoyed years of podium-filled success at Mid Ohio, Lime Rock and many other tracks, with several SCCA poles, race wins and track records in the T1 and T2 classes.
All that success came in Corvettes, and after making his Trans Am debut in a Mustang, Quine is looking forward to driving a Chevrolet-branded race car again.
“I like the bow tie brand because my Dad was a long-time Corvette racer,” said Quine. “We lost him in 2012 after a long struggle with cancer. I know he’d be so happy for me and would be with us in the shop prepping the Camaro and figuring out how to get to the front of the grid.”
Quine is a big fan of Trans Am and is excited about the opportunity to be part of the series on a full time basis in 2015.
“I love that Trans Am is experiencing such a resurgence in popularity,” said Quine. “The cars look and sound great, and fans can still really relate to them, just like they did in the 1970s. If you love muscle cars of the 60’s and 70’s, you've got to love Trans Am.”
Quine is lining up sponsors for 2015. For information on sponsorship packages, contact him at 330-573-4338.
