Paul Fix eyes Road Atlanta Redemption

TEAM RELEASE - Williamsville, NY- (April 5, 2016) Paul Fix and the #50 Stopflex/ClassicTube/CarCoach Tony Ave Racing Corvette will arrive for this week’s Road Atlanta stop on the 2016 schedule of Trans Am series events eyeing redemption for the Sebring incident at the opening round last month. Fix was forced to retire early at Sebring but intends to make amends.

Said Fix, “It's unfortunate that the leader couldn't control their own car forcing me into the tire barrier. This resulted in a horrible finishing position and a major reconstruction of the chassis to repair frame damage.”

The Tony Ave Racing crew rebuilt the entire front section of the car following Sebring. The time and effort put into preparing for Road Atlanta illustrates the determination the crew and driver have to achieve winning results and a championship.

Fix looks for good things to come this weekend. “Road Atlanta one is one of my favorite tracks. A natural terrain road course, one of the most difficult to be consistent at. I sat on the pole last year and anticipate a great result this year,” noted Fix.

“Tony Ave has given me a great car and the tools to win. My engineer Mark Scott and Crew Chief Greg Smyre will give it a great set up. We’ll be ready,” said Fix.

Trans Am will be on track Saturday April 9th at 9:40AM ET for practice followed by the One Shot Qualifying session at 3:20PM ET. The green flag will wave on 40 laps of racing Sunday April 10th at 4:15 PM ET. Fans of Paul Fix can follow all the action via live timing and scoring available at gotransam.com.
