Paul Fix Carries Momentum to VIRginia

(Team Release) Williamsville, NY (September 24, 2014)- Paul Fix will arrive at Virginia International Raceway, round ten on the Trans Am Series schedule, fresh off his second consecutive victory at Lime Rock Park the previous week. Fix brings with him the momentum such a victory carries along with the pace setting No. 4 Stopflex.com/Tony Ave Racing Chevrolet Corvette. Fix will look to better his 2013 VIR podium result with a step up to the winner’s spot this time around.

“Not being in the championship points this season allows for me to play spoiler and go for wins,” said Fix. “Our strategy will be similar to last week at Lime Rock; set the pace early in the weekend and let the other competitors chase us.”

Fix sat atop all the time sheets last week in the well prepared No.4 Corvette. The yellow machine out of the Tony Ave Racing shop is a potent weapon these days.

“Tony and the guys always have a plan of attack each weekend,” noted Fix. “We really seem to hit the ground running and hit all of our marks. The level of preparation is second to none.”

“I believe last week showed that while we are not currently running the full schedule, what events we do participate in, we fully intend to run at the front,” said Fix.

Paul Fix aims to compliment last week’s win with a repeat performance at VIR. Running in the lead pack all day in 2013 at VIR, Fix has some unfinished business. “I would really like to conclude the weekend with a win. That would be pretty good hot streak as the season winds down,” said Fix.

Said Tony Ave of the impending weekend of racing, “Paul will certainly be a force to reckon with. I’m comfortable we’ll give him the car needed to get the job done. The guys are excited to unload at VIR and do it again like last week.”

Fix and the rest of the Trans Am Series competitors will see action on the track at Virginia International Raceway on Friday, September 26, at 12:00 p.m. EDT for practice. Later that same day, a 5:00 p.m. practice session and qualifying will take place on Saturday, September 27, at 12:00 p.m. in preparation for the 101.37 mile, 31 lap race.
