PAUL FIX LOOKS TO DOUBLE DOWN IN NEW JERSEY
June 12, 2015

Millville, NJ (June 11, 2015)- Hot off a trifecta win at Lime Rock Park, Paul Fix and the #4 Stopflex.com/CarCoach/RoyalPurple/Well-Worth Chevrolet Corvette this week head to the Garden State and New Jersey Motorsports Park where Fix will continue his surge towards the 2015 Trans Am Series Championship. Fix intends for lightening to strike again on the Thunderbolt circuit and take away another victory and valuable points.
Said Fix, “I am looking forward to my first visit to the New Jersey facility. The track design appears to be technical and I excel at such courses. The Tony Ave Racing crew is prepared and so am I.”
Fix resides twelve points shy of first place in the championship standings. As he accomplished at Lime Rock, running out front and away from trouble is the key to success. Running his race and letting the other competitors fend for themselves is Fix’s race day strategy.
“We saw at previous races that ‘interesting’ things happen back in the pack,” noted Fix. “My plan is simple…start up front and stay there for the 45 laps. Championships are won with consistency and points accrued, that’s our game plan.”
That particular methodology has proven its merit as the #4 Corvette has become a fixture on the podium in 2015. With four races in the books, Fix has not finished out of the top three all season.
Noted Fix, “The Tony Ave Racing crew and my car chief Greg have done an incredible job of preparing for each event. The car is always fast and reliable.”
With the Summer tour for Trans Am underway, Fix will put the heat on as each weekend of racing gets him closer to the champion’s Trigon Trophy. “It’s go time,“ said Fix. “We’re reaching the halfway point in the schedule, time to move atop the standings and put some distance between ourselves and the rest of the teams.”
Trans Am will practice Saturday, June 13 at 10:21, with “Fast Five” qualifying at 1:45 p.m. A second practice session for TA at 4:35 p.m. along with the second chance to qualify at 4:50 p.m.
The Trans Am Series will race at New Jersey Motorsports Park on Sunday, June 14, with the MPT Fuel Systems Cleanse 100, featuring TA at 3:10 p.m. to complete Round 5 of the 2015 Trans Am Championship.
